Marianne Mason was elected President of the Cordell Hull Foundation in 1999 by the Board of Trustees, after serving as Executive and Senior Vice President for eleven years. She began her career in education by teaching French in a public school for one year. Ms. Mason now oversees teacher exchange programs for 700 foreign teachers annually in French, Greek, Spanish, German, Italian and Mandarin immersion, International and Baccalaureate schools and in public and charter schools across the U.S. A writer, director and narrator, she has produced 35 orientation and instruction videos for the Cordell Hull Foundation and stages annual orientation workshops in fifteen US cities. Ms. Mason’s book, J1 Visa Uncloaked–Complete Cultural Training Guide, Vol. II, is a collection of cultural adjustment orientation materials for CHF’s international teachers from sixty countries. Aided by teams of professional American and foreign-born educators, she has created workshop exercises, visa and immigration booklets, and orientation manuals offered in English, French, German, Greek, Mandarin and Spanish, available on Amazon.com.
Ms. Mason holds a Non-profit Management Certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a Masters degree in Non-profit Management from New School University (NYC), and a Certificate from the American School of Classical Feng Shui. Fluent in French and Spanish, she resides in Manhattan.
